The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted increased rain across the country in the next 24 hours.
“Rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind, is likely to occur in many parts of the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions—and at a few places in the Rajshahi, Khulna, and Barisal divisions—ending at 9am on Sunday”, read a met office bulletin on Saturday morning.
“Rainfall may increase”, it added.
Because of the rainfall, day and night temperatures may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius across the country.
The highest temperature recorded on Friday—in Bangladesh—was 35.6 degrees Celsius in Jessore and Khulna. The lowest temperature recorded in Bangladesh on Saturday 21.5 degrees Celsius in Bogra.
The sun will set at 6:42pm Saturday and rise at 5:11am on Sunday, in the
