A seventh-grade schoolgirl has reportedly been raped in Dhanbari upazila of Tangail.
The incident occurred on Monday and police arrested Sohel Rana, 28, on Tuesday in a case filed for the rape.
The girl was sent to Tangail General Hospital for medical examination.
According to police and locals, the girl went out of her home early morning on Monday to respond to nature’s call. Sohel then forcibly took her to his grocery store, gagged her with a towel, and raped her.
Dhanbari police station OC, Majibur Rahman, said: “The girl's father filed a case for the incident.
“Police arrested Sohel and sent him to a Tangail court on Tuesday.”
