Chittagong Development Authority gets new boss

The government appointed M Jahirul Alam Dovas as the new chief of CDA, replacing former chairman Abdus Salam

M Jahirul Alam Dovas, vice-president of Awami League’s Chittagong city unit , took charge as the newly appointed chairman of Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) on Monday.

The government appointed M Jahirul Alam Dovas as the new chief of CDA, replacing former chairman Abdus Salam.

Officials and employees of CDA received the newly-appointed chairman with a bouquet of flowers at the CDA headquarter entrance, reports BSS.

Upon assuming office, the new chairman said he would put in a maximum effort to fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the proper development of the port city.

He also urged the cooperation of all CDA officials, to develop the commercial capital of the country in a planned manner, taking pragmatic suggestions from all stakeholders, and cooperation from all quarters.
