A teenager has been arrested for raping a ninth-grader girl at “gunpoint” in Tangail's Bhuapur upazila.
The arrestee Robin, 15, son of Rokonuzzaman of Panchterilla village, was sent to jail after being produced before a local court on Wednesday.
A group of three people violated the girl Tuesday noon when she was returning home from her school, said Sub-Inspector Bijoy Debnath of the Bhuapur police station.
After returning home, the girl became senseless and was rushed to the Bhuapur health complex.
On Wednesday, the victim’s father filed a case accusing three people—Shanta, 19, son of Sanowar as the prime accused, Robin and Akash, 16, son of Mizanur Rahman of the Pichuria village in the Gopalpur upazila.
Drives were on to arrest the other accused, said the SI.
