Police on Tuesday arrested a primary school teacher accused of sexually harassing a fourth-grader in Kurigram.
The accused, Toufiqur Rahman Milon, 45, is an assistant teacher at Paikpara Government Primary School in the district’s Rajarhat upazila.
According to police, Milon had sexually harassed the fourth-grader, finding her alone in a classroom, on March 16.
The child’s father filed a case with Rajarhat police station under the Women And Children Repression Prevention Act.
Rajarhat police station OC Krishna Kumar confirmed the matter, saying the arresteehad beentaken to court on Tuesday, who sent him to jail.
Local an police sources said Milon had previously been reported to the school authorities for allegedly sexually harassing his student.
