A three-day long book fair on the Liberation War ended at Government Brojomohon College on Monday.
Organized by Sanskriti Parishad of B M College, the fair ended with speakers saying events like these, on the Liberation War, Language Movement, Independence Day, Victory Day, Bangla New Year, and on the traditions of the country, are of extreme importance for educating the young.
The fair also had a cultural program, an art competition, and a discussion session.
A total of 10 stalls including Srabon Prokashoni, Barishal Reporters Unity, and Palash Handicrafts, took part in the fair.
Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah, Barishal City Corporation Mayor, inaugurated the fair on the morning of March 30, and leading freedom fighters, Liberation War personalities, academics and intellectuals, participated in the different sessions throughout the fair.
