Youths of Bhuapur upazila in Tangail will no longer be able to wear any sort of “fancy” or “impudent” hairdos.
No more half-shaved, faux-hawk hairstyles are allowed. Bhuiyanpur Upazila Sheel Shamity has banned all sorts of “impudent” hairstyles from the area.
Hairdressers will be fined Tk40,000 for giving anyone a "deviant' hairstyle, according to a signed notice by Bhuiyanpur Upazila Sheel Shamity President Shekhar Chandra Sheel and General Secretary Arun Chandra Sheel.

The notice also stated that catalogues containing such hairstyles cannot be kept in barber shops either.
“The Bhuiyanpur Upazila Sheel Shamity will not bear any responsibility if these rules are disobeyed,” the notice read.
Regarding the matter, Shekhar Chandra Sheel said: “We have warned everyone through a written notice. This rule will be implemented very strictly and no one will be exempt.”
