Missing differently-abled teenager’s body recovered in Thakurgaon

Sahab was an eighth grade student of Kumarpur High School

Police have recovered the body of a differently-abled adolescent boy five days after he went missing in Thakurgaon.

The body was recovered from a wheat field at Baltala village in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila Friday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Sahab Uddin, 15, son of Saltu Mohammad of Jordarpara village in Barabalia union.

Sahab, who suffered from intellectual disability, was an eighth grade student of Kumarpur High School.

According to family sources, Sahab went missing after he had headed out from home five days ago. A general diary (GD) was filed with the local police station. On Friday afternoon, locals discovered his body in a wheat field in Baltala village. Police recovered the body upon information.

Thakurgaon police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ashiqur Rahman said: “Primarily it is being suspected that the boy was killed and left in the wheat field. The matter will be investigated.”
