Police on Thursday recovered the bullet-riddled body of a criminal on their most wanted list in Chuadanga.
The body of Imran Hossain, 26 was recovered in the Uthli Mollabari area of the Jibannagar upazila.
Police recovered the body and sent it to the Chuadanga Sadar hospital morgue.
Unknown assailants shot the victim in the head and chest and later his parents were brought to identify the body.
Jibannagar police station OC Sheikh Gani confirmed and said: “Imran Hossain’s death likely resulted from an internal conflict among the criminal syndicates”
“Police has already begun an investigation into the murder motive and the suspects,” he added.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Abu Rasel said: “The police have been trying to apprehend the criminal, as he was accused in a total of 14 cases including robbery, hijacking, arms trade, and women and children repression.”
Meanwhile, the police were also informed of sighting of another body, presumed to be of an associate of the deceased named Litu.
