Quota still vacant, applications invited from Hajj aspirants

People interested to perform Hajj this year have scope to apply for it as the passenger quota under government management is still vacant.

The applications should reach the director of Hajj office, Dhaka, by March 21, a circular issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs said on Tuesday.

The written application can also be submitted through email [email protected] or [email protected] or by dialing 09602666707.

The people, who earlier named in the pro-registration list from the serial no 22,765 and then, have been asked to complete the registration process within March 21, 2019 to go to hajj under the government management. They are also requested to submit their passports to the offices concerned before March 20 for verification.

The registration process for Hajj pilgrims’ travelling under government management started on Feb 14.

Hajj is likely to be held on August 10 this year, subject to sighting of the moon.

A total of 1,27,198 pilgrims from Bangladesh can perform Hajj this year.
