A blind girl has been raped in Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon.
The incident occurred on February 24.
Police have arrested Rabiul Islam, 20—the man the victim was allegedly in a relationship with—after the victim's brother lodged a case with the Baliadangi police station accusing Rabiul, on Thursday night, confirmed the Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mosabberul Haque.
Rabiul hails from Kariakalonda village under Bhano union in Baliadangi upazila.
The OC said: "On February 24, Rabiul lured the girl to a neighbour's, Pinjira Akter's, house and raped her. When she started bleeding, Pinjira received treatment from a local doctor.
"Later when the victim's family got to know of the incident, her brother lodged a case accusing Rabiul on Thursday," the OC added.
Police are trying to arrest those who helped the rapist, Mosabberul said.
