Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained two people for their alleged involvement in leaking fake question papers for public examinations in Tangail.
They were arrested at Choy Ani Pukur area in Tangail city, RAB 12 (CPC 3) Company Commander Hasan Arafat said in a press briefing around 8:30pm on Saturday.
The detainees are: Safin Miah, 18, and Shajib Miah, 18, of the area.
The elite force also recovered two laptops, two mobile phones and 26 screenshots of their conversation on Facebook Messenger.
The RAB company commander said: "We detained them after conducting a drive based on a tip-off. Upon interrogation, the detainees informed us that they are active members of a ring that makes counterfeit question papers."
He said Safin and Shajib were planning to earn some money through bKash by deceiving people with their fake question papers.
"We found their Messenger conversations where they made deals with some of their friends in disguise, offering them fake question papers for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams in exchange for money," Company Commander Hasan Arafat added.
