Police said the man most likely died while trying to fix his geyser

Update : 16 Feb 2019, 02:53 PM

A Russian national has died in Pabna, preliminary examination revealing the cause of death to be an electric accident.

The deceased is Zeleski Vatzim, 34. He was working as an installer at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant. His body was recovered around 10am on Saturday.

Police said the death occurred on Saturday as Vatzim was trying to fix the geyser in his apartment.

Ishwardi police station Officer-in-Charge Bahauddin Faruqi said: “The Russian national used to live on the 14th floor of Green City, the living quarters adjacent to the under-construction power plant.

“Around 8am the neighbours found his body and called the police. The police and fire service personnel recovered his body around 10am. The body has been sent to a local hospital,” he added.

Police also said they are preliminarily suspecting the cause of death to be an accident as the geyser in Vatzim's apartment was leaking water from the false ceiling onto the dining room floor.
