A six-month-old spotted deer of an animal farm was found slaughtered on Wednesday at Mohonpur village of Kalukhali upazila in Rajbari district.
Riaz Mahmud, the owner of the farm , said he had taken two deer three months ago for his farm.
On Wednesday afternoon, he found one of them slaughtered in a field owned by his neighbours.
Kalukhali police station Officer-in-Charge SM Abu Farhad said locals slaughtered the deer while it was running across the field in pain and injury marks from a dog-bite.
Kalukhali upazila livestock Officer-in-Charge Alamgir Hossain visited the spot.
