Bangladeshi national killed in South Africa

On the day of the incident, at 3.30 pm South African time, an altercation took place between an African national and him over the price of some goods

A Bangladeshi national was killed at Zulu Natal province in South Africa on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Shah Paran, 32, son of Eiar Ahmed Bhuyan and Fatema Begum of Modhyam Chandipara in Feni district town.

Eiar Ahmed said Shah Paran worked as a salesman at a supermarket in Pietermaritzburg city of the province.

On the day of the incident, at 3.30 pm South African time, an altercation took place between an African national and him over the price of some goods.

Later, a group of assailants allegedly attacked Shah Paran with knives over the issue, leaving him dead on the spot.

Feni Model police station Officer-in-Charge Abul Kalam Azad said he has been informed about the incident.
