Seven people have been killed in a collision between a truck and a CNG-run autorickshaw in the Rotonpur area ofMandari upazila inLakshmipur district.
The deceased are: Shah Alom, Nasima Akhter, Roksana Begum, Rubel Hossain, Amit, Shamsunnahar and autorickshaw driver Hur Hossain.
A Chittagong-bound truck collided with theLakshmipur-bound autorickshaw around 5am on Wednesday, killing all seven people in the rickshaw on the spot.
Confirming the matter, Chandraganj highway police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahjahan Khan told the Dhaka Tribune that police and firefighters had recovered the bodies and sent them to Lakshmipur Sadar morgue.
Police said both vehicles involved in the accident have been recovered.
