A fire that had broken out at Chandmari slum in Fatulla of Narayanganj gutted 72 shanties.
Narayanganj fire service sources said the fire broke out in a jhut warehouse in the area around 4am and engulfed the adjoining shanties in the slum, reports UNB.
Upon receiving information, eight firefighting units rushed in and doused the fire around 8:15am, said Fatullah police station Officer-in-Charge Monzur Kader.
There was no report of casualty in the fire.
The origin of the blaze could not yetbe ascertained.
