The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a suspected drug trader with a phensedyl consignment at Moheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah.
The detainee, 35-year-old Anwarul Mandal, is a resident of Betbaria Mollahpara village in Moheshpur, a statement issued by RAB on Friday said.
According to the statement, following a tip-off that a trade was going to take place between phensedyl peddlers, a team of RAB 6 conducted a raid in Jadabpur Sonaidanga area of Moheshpur on Thursday night.
During the raid, the team arrested Anwar with 470 bottles of phensedyl, RAB said.
