Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq announced that the verdicts declared by different courts against BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman, will be executed soon after he is brought back from London.
He came up with the remark, while addressing a reception program organized by the Akhaura upazila Awami League at the Akhaura Upazila parishad field on Friday afternoon.
Regarding the Oikya Front’s national dialogue on February 6, the minister said: “The Jatiya Oikya Front has been rejected by the people through their votes, who are they going to hold dialogue with?”
Presided over by Upazila Awami League Convener Principal Md Joynal Abedin, the program was also addressed by city Mayor Takjil Khalifa Kazal, member of District Council Abul Kashem Bhuiyan, Upazila Awami League Joint Convener Md Selim Bhuiyan and city Jubo League President Monir Khan, among others.
Meanwhile, in the evening, a colourful procession with banners and posters was brought out by party leaders and activists as well as other organizations, creating a festive environment in the area.
