Police arrested 31 Rohingya refugees including men, women and children fromthe central Eidgah road in Comilla, on Thursday afternoon.
Kotwali model police station Inspector Md Salahuddin said that the arrested are all Rohingya refugees.
The arrested refugees fled from Myanmar three years ago, took shelter in India and later, crossed the border to get to their relatives living in Cox’s Bazar and ended up in Comilla, he also said.
Upon receiving information, Kotwali police Sub-Inspector Sahabur along with his fellow forces detained the Rohingya refugees, Salahuddin added.
They are now being prepared to be sent to the Cox’s Bazar Rohingya camp, he also added.
