At least five local leaders and activists of Awami League have been injured as miscreants hurled improvised bombs at an election campaign office in Comilla.
The incident occurred in Nautola of Chandina upazila around 7:30pm on Saturday, reports UNB.
The injured are: Md Abdul Kader, 35, Wayer Ahmed, 22, Ibrahim Khalil, 18, Ruhul Amin, 40, and Moslem, 60.
Chandina police station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Abul Faisol said some miscreants riding a microbus came near the office adjacent to the Dhaka-Chittagong highway and threw bombs while an election meeting was taking place, leaving five men injured.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered nine improvised bombs from there, he added.
