Mawlana Bhasani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) on Monday organized a seminar to commemorate the 42nd death anniversary of Mawlana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani.
The seminar, which was on the life of Mawlana Bhasani, was held at the department of genetic engineering and biotechnology hall of the university.
MBSTU Vice-chancellor Dr Md Alauddin addressed the seminar as the chief guest, while Mawlana Bhasani Research Centre Director Dr Meer Mohammad Mozammel Haque was in chair.
Professor Dr Ashfaque Hossain, treasurer of Bangladesh Open University, also addressed the seminar as the key discussant.
The university is also set to organize various other programs to mark the death anniversary of Bhasani in a befitting manner.
On November 17, a delegation led by the MBSTU VC will place floral wreaths at the grave of Mawlana Bhasani on behalf of the university, university sources said.
