A case has been filed against Juba Dal President Mohiuddin Ahmed Jharu, and he has been arrested, for assaulting a member of the police in Sreemangal upazila of Moulvibazar district.
Police arrested him in Motiganj area of the upazila at around 12:30am on Friday.
Mohiuddin Ahmed, 48, is son of the late Jalal Miah of Amanatpur area of Sreemangal.
Sreemangal police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Fazle Rabbi confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
