A large meeting has taken place in Thakurgaon under the banner “Noukar Lokkhe Narir Oikya”, held to inform the women of the country about the development of the country.
The gathering took place in Ranisankail upazila on Saturday evening.
The achievements and development advanced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League government were discussed and briefed at the event by reserved seat Member of Parliament (MP), Selina Jahan Lita.
Several Awami League leaders, including Ranisankail upazila Awami League president Saidul Haque, also spoke at the event.
At the event, Selina Jahan Lita said: “The Awami League government has played catalyst to a revolution in the lives of Bangladeshi women. Sheikh Hasina has caused a paradigm shift for women in Bangladesh by taking numerous important steps. We want to inform the women of the country about these.”
Noting the constituency was delegated to coalition candidates for the last 18 years, she said: “This time, we wish to invite you to unite and vote for boat.”
