Two people have been killed and seven others injured after a local bus collided with a human-hauler on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Faridpur Sadar.
The deceased are Md Hasan Khan, 32, and Liton Sheikh, 30.
“The accident took place around 8:15am Saturday in front of Kanaipur Rural Electricity Society,” Kanaipur highway police Sub-Inspector Md Nizamul Islam told UNB.
The injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital. Meanwhile, police arrested the bus driver.
