A farmer was killed by lightning that struck him while returning home from a field in the Kirtipur area of Naogaon around 4pm on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Abdus Sattar, 60.
Naogaon Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Hai confirmed the matter, saying: “Seeing clouds gathering in the sky, Sattar went out into a field next to his village to bring his cattle back. Unfortunately, he was struck by lightning on the way, and died on the spot.”
