With the help of local people the fire was brought under control after 30 minutes of the fire

The private car of US-Bangla plane crash victim Faruk Hossain Priok has caught in fire in Gazipur.

The car caught fire on Saturday morning at the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway.

Faruk’s cousin Mehedi Hasan who is a survivor of the same plane crash, was driving the car to Dhaka to a workshop, as the car was not used after Faruk died and had mechanical issues with its electric and CNG connections.

The backside of the car caught fire after Mehedi took fuel from a petrol station.

Joydebpur Fire Service Senior Station Officer Zakir Hossain has confirmed the news. He said with the help of local people the fire was brought under control after 30 minutes of the fire.

Faruk’s mother Feroza Begum said her son bought the car before he went to Nepal. “It was a valuable possession for him,” she added.

On March 12 of this year Faruk and his daughter Tamara were killed in a plane crash in Nepal's Tribhuvan International Airport. They were travelling by a US-Bangla Airlines plane.
