A case has been filed against 35 suspects for the killing of a Chhatra Dal leader in Sylhet on August 11. He was attacked near the house of elected Sylhet Corporation Mayor Ariful Haque Choudhury.
The victim, Foyzul Haque Raju, 32, was an assistant publication secretary of Sylhet city Chhatra Dal. His uncle, Dabir Ali filed the case with the Kotwali Police Station on Monday night, reports UNB.
A total of 23 people, including former organising secretary of Sylhet city Chhatra Dal Absur Rokib Chowdhury, were named, and 12 were unnamed in the case.

Additional deputy commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police Mohammd Abdul Wahab Miah confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune—adding that police have also arrested an accused named Alfu Miah.
Earlier on August 11, Raju came under attack in front of Ariful’s house during a rally marking his victory in the Sylhet City Corporation Election. He died at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital. Two other leaders were also injured in the attack.
