The Tank-Lorry Owners' Association has gone on a 24-hour strike in Khulna, to protest against the nine-point demand of students demonstrating for safer roads.
The strike began at 8am on Sunday and will continue till 8am on Monday, reports UNB.
Sheikh Forhad Hossain, secretary of the association, said no fuel will be supplied from the Padma, Meghna, and Jamuna oil companies in Khalispur during the action.
They commenced the strike when the government announced it would fulfill the nine-point demand of the protesting students, said the association leader.
He said the students' demands are contradictory.
