A 13-year-old youth was struck by lightning while trying to hoist the flag of his favourite World Cup team, Argentina, in Richi village of Sadar upazila in Habiganj.
The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when the youth went to his rooftop to hoist the flag. He was admitted to Habiganj Sadar hospital with grievous injuries.
Later, he was declared dead.
