Members of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) detained 17 Rohingyas at Kasba upazila in Brahmanbaria.
The detainees include five men, seven women, and five children.
Maniruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Kasba police station, said the BGB men detained the Rohingyas in Nayanpur Bazar on their way to Cox’s Bazar by CNG-run auto-rickshaws to meet relatives on Thursday.
Later, they were handed over to the police.
