Four people have been killed in a head-on collision between a truck and pickup van in Kalihati upazila of Tangail district.
The deceased could not be immediately identified.
Bangabandhu Bridge East police station Officer-in-Charge Mosharaf Hossain told the Dhaka Tribune: “The accident took place between a Dhaka-bound truck and a pickup van in Shoratoil area around 9am on Wednesday.
“Three of them died on the spot. Another person died when he was taken to Tangail General Hospital.”
