Police arrested 12 suspected drug peddlers during a special anti-drug raid, carried out in different areas of Tangail from Monday night to the early hours of Tuesday.
Law enforcers also seized banned narcotics such as yaba tablets, heroin, and marijuana from the arrested suspects.
Police produced them before the Tangail Court on Tuesday.
Confirming the matter to the Dhaka Tribune, district Superintendent of Police Sanjit Kumar Roy added that more anti-drug raids will be conducted in the future.
