Two people have been killed and another injured as a cylinder of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw exploded after the vehicle rammed into a tree in Companir Hat area of Noakhali district.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sudhram Model police station, said the incident took place when the Sonapur-bound auto-rickshaw rammed into a roadside tree after its driver lost control of the wheel around 6am on Sunday.
Later, the cylinder went off leaving one dead on the spot and two injured.
One of the injured died on the way to hospital.
