BSF picks up 3 Bangladeshis at Thakurgaon border

BGB sent a letter to the BSF for holding a flag meeting in this regard

Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) detained three Bangladesh nationals from Paria border in Thakurgaon’s Baliadangi upazila early Sunday.

The detainees were identified as Shah Alam, 35, son of Sirajul Islam of Taranjhuri village, Abu Sayeed, 24, son of Ismail Hossain of Horinmari Noyabasti village and Pobarul Hossain, 26, son of Tofarul Islam of Notabari village of the upazila.

Border Guard Bangladesh’s (BGB) battalion 50 commanding officer Lt Col Mohammad Hossain said a BSF team detained the trio from an area adjacent to 385 No pillar on the border line around 4am as they were trying to enter Indian territory.

Meanwhile, BGB sent a letter to the BSF for holding a flag meeting, he added.
