A woman reportedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train with her two-year-old son in her arms in the Gatepara area of Mirpur upazila on Friday afternoon.
The deceased are yet to be identified.
Afzal Hossain, OC of Poradah Government Railway police station, said the young woman, aged around 35, jumped in front the Khulna-bound Kapotaksha Express with her son at around 5:30pm, leaving them dead on the spot.
