Six people have been killed when a bus and an auto-rickshaw collided head-on in Kakoni area at Mymensingh’s Tarakanda upazila.
The incident took place around 3:30pm Friday, Tarakanda police station OC Mazharul Haque said.
He said all the victims were passengers of the auto-rickshaw. “Five people had died on the spot following the collision between the vehicles.”
One injured was also rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hosptal.
But that person was declared dead on arrival, said the hospital’s emergency department Medical Officer Dr Mahbub Hossain.
Police are yet to identify all six victims.
