Freedom fighters, children object to quota reform movement  

Freedom fighters and their children formed human chains in Moulvibazar and Jhenaidah on Tuesday, voicing their objections to the ongoing movement for reforming the existing quota scheme. Speaking from the human chain formed in front of Moulvibazar Press Club, the organizers said anti-liberation elements in the guise of students are carrying out the movement.

They also said the government should investigate whether those who have waged the movement have links with anti-liberation forces. Moulvibazar Freedom fighters' Children's Command Council member secretary Belal Hossain and Joint General Secretary Noyan Kanti Deb also addressed the human chain. Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Moulvibazar deputy commissioner.

In Jhenaidah, freedom fighters brought out a procession for the same purpose. The procession started from the Old DC Court premises and ended at the office of the district’s deputy commissioner. They submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner.
