Victim Mahfuza Khatun, 30, daughter of Abdul Gaffar of Hazipur village in Shyamnagar upazila, was married to Ohidullah Gazi of Aronggaccha village 14 years back, police said quoting her brother Bablur Rahman. The couple have two daughters. Few days ago, Mahfuza went to her father’s house as the couple had a conflict over family matters. Ohidullah sent a divorce notice to Mahfuza recently and kept his elder daughter Tausia confined in a room. Later, Mahfuza came back to her husband’s house to know about the matter.
