Four members of Myanmar’s Border Guard Police (BGP), who wandered into Bangladesh territory at Teknaf, have been sent back after a flag meeting.
The armed border guards, one of whom is believed to have been an officer, were found at the riverine border of Unchiprang on Monday.
Members of a Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) patrol picked them up and took them to their Unchiprang outpost.
A flag meeting was held at the outpost around 5pm on Monday. The BGP troopers and their firearms were handed over to Myanmar after they admitted their fault.
The BGB declined to comment.
