Indian High Commission to open branch in Sylhet

Indian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Friday said his government would open a branch office of the high commission in Sylhet in the next two months. The branch office will be set up so the people of Sylhet can avail the visa more easily, Shringla said while addressing a program at ISKON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) Temple in Sylhet city. Later, the Indian high commissioner handed over a cheque of Tk1 crore to the ISKON authorities as donation by the Indian government for an under-construction dormitory of ISKON Temple.
