A case was filed with a Kishoreganj court on Sunday against Sub-inspector Jalal Uddin Bin Amir of Bhairab police station on charge of looting valuables parts of a private car under custody.
Trader Rafiqul Islam filed the case with the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate M Iqbal Mahmud in the afternoon.
Taking cognizance of the complaint, the judge ordered the Criminal Investigation Department of police to submit a report within 30 days after investigation.
In his complaint, Rafiqul said Sub-inspector Jalal seized his private car on September 21, 2017 and took it to the police station following an order of OC Mokhlesur Rahman.
He alleged that the OC demanded Tk2 lakh for the release of the vehicle on October 2 that he refused to give.
While taking the car on February 1 following a court order, its valuable parts were found missing, the complainant said, alleging that the OC and the SI looted the parts following his refusal to pay the toll.
Contacted, the OC denied the allegation brought against him.
