Two NGO workers killed in road accidents

Two NGO workers were killed and a third was injured in separate road accidents in Faridpur and Thakurgaon on Saturday morning. In Faridpur, FDA Field Officer Rikta Aktar, 32, was on a motorbike with a colleague when a truck hit them around 8:30am. Rikta was declared dead when she was taken to Faridpur General Hospital. Her colleague, who was severely injured, is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Kotwali police station Officer-in-charge Nizam Uddin confirmed the matter. Meanwhile, in Thakurgaon, a field officer of Eco Social Development Organization (ESDO) was killed after a truck hit his motorbike around 8am. The deceased was identified as Jahangir Alam, 40.
