Firefighters have rescued a kitten which was stuck in a tree for three days in Muradnagar upazila, Comilla.
Chased by a dog, the orange-and-white kitten climbed up to the top branches of a 120-feet-high silk tree at the Upazila Health Complex on Friday. But the hapless kitty was not able to descend to the ground after that, according to the officials of the Health Complex.
The officials informed the matter to Muradnagar Fire Service and a team of firefighters went for the rescue on Monday.
Muradnagar Fire Station Officer Tusher Hossain said the silk three was thin and tall, a vary tough one to climb up.
The firefighters had finally decided to take the risk and rescued the kitten, he added.
Upazila Livestock Officer Abdur Rahim told the Dhaka Tribune that apart from some weakness for three days of starvation, the condition of the kitten was quite well.
