A fire broke out at the warehouse of SM Knitwear Limited's factory in Bagherbazar area of Gazipur Sadar upazila in the early hours of Saturday. Four fire fighting units from Joydebpur and Sreepur fire stations managed to douse the fire around 5:30am. Station Officer of Sreepur Fire Station Al Amin said: "The fire that started around 3am destroyed most of the fabrics and cartons inside the warehouse. "The extent of damage caused by the fire can be estimated after investigation."
