Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route in the Padma River resumed after three and a half hours of disruption caused by dense fog on Monday morning.
Assistant General Manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Aricha Nasir Mohammad Chowdhury said they suspended ferry services on the route from 7am to 10:30am due to poor visibility caused by thick fog.
Following the suspension, hundreds of vehicles were stranded on both sides of the river, which jeopardizing countless passengers.
