A seventh grader girl has become the winning rider of a three-day traditional horse racing, held in Phulbari upazila of Kurigram.
Taslima's buckskin became the winner in the final round of the three-day competition on Thursday.
A total of 35 horses from different northern districts took part in the racing, arranged at a vast expanse of recently harvested paddy fields in Kutichandrakhana village of the upazila.

The horse racing was part of a three-day winter fair, held at the village on Tuesday-Thursday.
Taslima was awarded a cow as the first prize while the 1st runner-up a goat and the 2nd runner-up a mobile phone handset. Freedom fighter Dr Hamidul Haque handed over the prizes to the winners.
