8-yr-old allegedly tortured to death

An eight-year-old girl was allegedly tortured and strangled to death in Sreepur upazila, Gazipur on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Mousumi Aktar, daughter of Quddus Mia. Police recovered the victim's body from her house in Uttarpara area in Sreepur. She had bruises and wounds around her neck and her private parts, police said. Police arrested her step-brother Idris Ali for interrogation in connection with the child's mysterious death.
