The Cabinet has approved a proposal to observe December 12 as the National Information and Communication Technology Day to accept the concept of Digital Bangladesh at the state-level and recognise the country’s advancement in the ICT sector.
Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam disclosed this at a press briefing after Monday's weekly cabinet meeting.
He said, “The Cabinet approved the proposal as Bangladesh has advanced much in ICT sector and now Bangladesh might be at the seventh or eighth position in the world in terms of density of our mobile and internet users.”
