Two people were killed in Hathazari upazila, Chittagong when an armoured vehicle of Bangladesh Army hit a CNG-run autorickshaw in Munshi Mosque area on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Rokeya Begum, 45, and Abdul Gafur, 35, BSS reported.
Confirming the incident, Hathazari police station OC Belal Uddin told UNB that Rokeya and Gafur, along with two other people, were injured in the accident, which took place around 8:30 in the morning.
The injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where Rokeya and Gafur succumbed to their injuries.
In another accident in Sitakunda, a goods-laden truck hit a motorcycle around 2:30am on Friday, killing riders Apu Das, 25, and Bidyut Das, 27, on the spot, Inspector Jahangir Alam of Kumira Highway police outpost told UNB.
Police recovered their bodies and sent to morgue for an autopsy. Their friend, Raju, 30, who was also riding the motorcycle, was injured in the accident and was taken to the CMCH, BSS reported.
Both Apu and Bidyut were residents of Ghatfarhadbeg area in Chittagong city, UNB reported.
